Place: Paris, France
Background: It’s been 12 months since I quit my job to travel the world. I’ve just arrived back in France after spending five long months volunteering and teaching English in Ghana.
I loved my time in Ghana and saying goodbye was difficult—but my clothes definitely took a beating!

Story: My heart skips a few beats as I exit the Metro station and cross the street, anxiously looking for the Mailbox Etc. building. I practice a few meagre French phrases under my breath as I walk down the avenue, hoping and praying my package will be there waiting for me. I’m road worn and travel weary and expecting something from home.
I love the iconic Metro Station signs.

The bell rings as I enter through the door, smiling and trying to hide my nervous excitement. I manage to make myself understood, and a package marked “FRIEND” slides its way across the countertop. My smile widens and I feel like a kid on Christmas morning, tightly hugging the cardboard box as I step outside.
I’ve been waiting for this moment since the day I became an Aventura Ambassador. I found out about their clothing company for active women through a fellow travel blogger who mentioned they were accepting brand ambassadors to promote their eco-friendly lifestyle. After a bit of research, I fell in love.
Not only is Aventura family based and operated, its core values are consistent with mine. Environmentally conscious, women focused, travel friendly, and made with quality and care.

Needless to say, I tore into my cardboard box immediately and tried on all of the clothes I’d carefully picked out from their Spring catalogue. After hand-washing my travel worn (and frankly disgusting) clothes for five months while living in Ghana, trying on my new crisp and clean Aventura clothes felt like a dream. The fabric felt soft, light, and durable. The styles flattered my curves and fit comfortably. I was giddy.
After traveling for two months wearing my Aventura clothes almost exclusively, I can attest to their versatility and longevity. When you only have a few outfits to wear out of a backpack, you can tell pretty quickly how useful they’re going to be. I wore my new outfits while doing landscaping work, while canoeing down the Dordogne in France, and while traipsing about in Paris. My only regret is that I didn’t discover Aventura until my travels were almost nearing an end. It would’ve saved me quite a few trips to the seamstress as my other less-than-quality clothes fell apart!

I’m home now, and still wearing my Aventura clothes almost daily. They are perfect for the traveler, the stay-at-home mom, the outdoor enthusiast, and pretty much any woman who values comfort and style.

Great overview of the Aventura brand, Spring/Summer line, and general fabulousness of these clothes! Sounds like you test out the durability more than most – good to hear Aventura has held up so well.
Lovely pictures, too. I’m not sure if I’m more jealous of your travels through France, or your peaceful, beautiful farm back home in the US?!? 😉
