One of my favorite things to do while traveling is to get lost with my camera. I enjoy wandering down side streets and going off the beaten path to capture the every day essence of a place. I can spend hours framing the perfect shot, trying to capture on camera the sights and sounds of the moment. I’ve noticed that as I look back on my travels, each country reflects a certain color palette. Italy is full of burnt orange and golden buildings glistening in the sun, Greece shimmers in crystal clear blue and white, Ecuador’s jungle is a vibrant shade of green, Morocco’s earthen streets bleed red. Below are some of my favorite photos from each country for the “Capture the Color” contest. I hope they portray the essence of each place and give you a sense of the beauty I discovered there!
