Capture the Color

One of my favorite things to do while traveling is to get lost with my cameraI enjoy wandering down side streets and going off the beaten path to capture the every day essence of a place. I can spend hours framing the perfect shot, trying to capture on camera the sights and sounds of the moment. I’ve noticed that as I look back on my travels, each country reflects a certain color palette. Italy is full of burnt orange and golden buildings glistening in the sun, Greece shimmers in crystal clear blue and white, Ecuador’s jungle is a vibrant shade of green, Morocco’s earthen streets bleed red. Below are some of my favorite photos from each country for the “Capture the Color” contest. I hope they portray the essence of each place and give you a sense of the beauty I discovered there!
